A Seance is aloso sometimes called a " Spirit-Circle." This term Seance refers to the coming together of a number of people for the purpose of seeking communication with the spirits who have passed over from this physical plain, to the spirit worlds. A number of people gathering together brings with it more energy than a single person trying to comunicate with those in spirit, giving a stronger & greater power than an individual could bring by himself. This makes it easier for the spirits to communicate by creating a stronger force for them to comunicate with. It is also worth noting, that one or more of the circle gathered may have latent mediumship capabilities, combining together the energies of many will help 'bring out' these qualites, if a person posesses them, & will enable the circle to commune with the spirit world. If you wish to conduct a seance, the people you invite to attend should not be as physically healthy as possible, ( as someone with a chronic ailment could be weakened physically further by the use of energies! ), of opposite temperments, moral characters & of pure minds. Those suffering from a mental condition ( such as depression ), should not be present & you should NEVER admit people who have addictions, bad habits, criminals, sensualists, strongly positive persons of any kind, rude, skeptical, violent tempered, or dogmatic people. Also, it is worth pointing out, that you should not have more than TWO developed mediums within the circle, as this splits the energies. Different temperments within the make up of the group is imortant as you need ot create a 'battery' so to speak, of positive & negative elements. You should never conduct a seance with less than THREE people present & also no more than TWELVE is recommended! Do not conduct a seance in a too warm enviroment! Make sure that the room you are conducting the seance is comfortable, but not over-heated! Ensure that it is well ventilated also. This is because it is common that once the seance commences, the warmness of the room increases due to the vast amount of energies used! Also, never have a strong light in the room, a subdued light is best! Have the circle sit around a wooden table, with their hands upon it, palms facing downwards onto the table, ( as wood, it is believed, becomes a conductor when charged eliminating the need for the group to hold hands! ) If the same group meets occasionally for this purpose, then it is advisable to always give each individual the same seating position. NEVER keep the same group together & holding sittings for more than a Year! Remove all flowers & fruit from the seance room beforehand & also things made of metal & glass, as this lessens the chance of injury to sensitives! A Test medium ( who is well developed ), may sit for any person without injury. Arrange the Seance to commence at an appropiate time, when you can be assured that you will not be disturbed in any way & NEVER admit late comers to a circle after it commences.
BEGINNING THE SEANCE
It is recommend the seance should be opened either with prayer or with music. A respectful quiet is recommended after this, with any conversation being subdued & directed towards the reason for attendance, never bring outside opinions or chit chat into the gathering. It is recommended that a sitting should NEVER exceed two hours, unless advised by the spirits! Always sit for at least an hour, even if you can gather no response from the spirits, as it is common to take this length of time before the Sirits are ready to communicate. If you recieve no communications after the first sitting, then try again next time with the same circle make up for a total of 6 sittings. If after 6 sittings still no communications have been recieved, then 'break up' the circle. Replace 1,2 or even 3 members of the group with other people & try again. It is worth saying that once any of the circle can communicate freely with the spirits, the then spirits CAN & indeed, WILL take charge of & regulate the future movements of the circle. At the opening of a circle, it is common for one or more of the group to be impressed to change seats. Impressions are the voices of spirits speaking to our spirits & should ALWAYS be respected & carried out, unless it contains a wrongful act or word. It is also common at the opening of a circle for people to be impressed to withdraw. People also regulary have a strong repulsion to a certain member or member, of the group upon opening of the circle, it is strongly advised the the person feeling the repulsion should remove themselves from the group, as it may be painful for them to stay! Follow all strong impressions faithfully, if you feel impressed to write, then write & so on. Spirit control is never perfect at first, but by yeilding to it, makes your being more flexible. Practice in control is necessary for both people & spirits! If you should happen to recieve an evil or dark spirit, it is advised not to try to drive them away, but instead to try & elevate the spirit to a higher level. Communication between the worlds is rarely perfect & before you dismiss something as 'rubbish' or a 'lie', remember that a mistake in communication could have been made! Never call the spirits Liars, if something is clearly a false hood, then rebuke it gently, do not call it an outright lie, or get yourself upset or angry over it. Before you coduct or arrange a Seance, think very carefully about your motives for it & about what you hope to achieve with it. If the idea of it all scares you, stay away. Never conduct a Seance if you have mis-givings about it, remember that you are dealing with energies far greater than you alone have. Seances should not be done for 'Fun'.
